Hello there beautiful, are you ready for Fall?
As most of you already know, Fall is one of my favourite seasons. I often find myself inspired by all the rich red warm colours and of course, the smell of apple and cinnamon. You are probably thinking of bringing out your burgundy matte lipsticks and getting your Pumpkin Spice Latte ready for the cold mornings and I don’t blame you! Most makeup lovers prefer to go all dark for this season which would probably make Dracula proud, however, I always find it better to combine dark and light colours.
Here are some of my old and new additions to my Fall must-have makeup kit:
This product is really the perfect beauty potion. I would have never thought that an affordable drugstore product can become such a statement in my makeup bag. As most of you prefer matte foundation during the Fall season, it is very important to make your skin look healhy and hydrated. To be honest, I didn’t even have to apply any moisturizer while I was using this primer and my makeup lasted the whole day. Goodbye fleaky skin forever!
Yes, I know this product is more expensive, but I promise you it’s going to last forever. This dark wine colour of blush is exactly what you need to turn heads this season. It goes on like butter and you can build it up to your liking. It looks gorgeous on both light and tan skin tones and it’s the perfect combination of red undertones to make it look natural and radiant.
Talk about velvet! This deep mulberry colour goes on smooth and it dries to a matte soft lipstick. This is truly one of my favourite texture and colour for a Fall lipstick. It soooo long lasting that you are going to forget you have it on your lips. I’m not a fan of matte lipsticks because I find them very drying and it gets into all the lines of your lips, but I never had problems with this one. So get your little paws on it ladies before the end of Fall!
I recently purchased this makeup palette and it didn’t take too long to add it to my favourites list. I have been following Huda for a while now on her journey of creating this palette so I definitely appreciated the effort. It has a total of 18 shades of different finishes which I find interesting. Most palettes have either a lot of shimmers or mattes, but this one goes from pearly to matte to duo-chrome which create the perfect formula to create infinite looks for Fall. The colours reminded me of the leaves of maple trees when they start falling. If you want a warm rich look then this is the palette for you!
